Voted Best Cocktail Bar by Village Voice Readers’ Choice Award 2014

The Way Station releases its winter cocktail menu, which is sure to please seasoned quaffers and nerds alike.
On the Libations menu, many of the perennial favorites appear, with the addition of two brand new cocktails: The Kent Brockman and The Golden Snitch. Andy Heidel, owner of The Way Station, created a cocktail in honor of Simpsons character, anchorman Kent Brockman. Heidel first gained Simpsons mixology notoriety for recreating the infamous “Flaming Moe,” which he discussed in a Village Voice interview and was also included in’s “13 Simpsons Jokes that actually came true.” The Kent Brockman features Brockmans Gin, Cinzano Dry Vermouth, and a lemon twist. As Kent Brockman would say, “This just in: it’s delicious.” The Golden Snitch, which is a nod to Harry Potter fans familiar with the game Quiddich, is a luscious caramel margarita featuring 79 Gold Caramel Spirit and La Pitaya Tequilla.
The Doctor Who themed cocktail menu now includes the 9th and 12th Doctor Sonic Screwdrivers. The 9th Doctor (played by Christopher Eccleston) blends Absolut Citron, Orange Juice and Pimm’s to make things more British while the 12th Doctor (currently portrayed by Scottish actor Peter Capaldi) takes on a different twist with Dewars Scotch mixed with Amaretto, Bitters, and Ginger Ale for a time traveling twist.
